In 2019 I was given free access to the Pugin chapel in St Leonards on Sea.   I visited every week for several hours, recording my experience in my Blog.

The desire to work in a church was prompted by Sir John Tavener’s memorial service at Westminster Abbey, and whilst I am not religious, I am drawn to spiritual buildings, even living in a converted chapel for a number of years.

I have produced a number of series, as a direct result of the residency, and I may well continue to draw on the wealth of material I acquired during the six months I spent sitting, listening, absorbing, at the chapel.
